October Foodie Penpals Reveal

I have taken a break from Foodie Penpals for the last few months, but I finally joined back up again for October. I received my box from THE foodie penpal herself Lindsay from The Lean Green Bean.

I was a little excited when I got home from vacation and the package was waiting at the house. I tore into it, almost without getting any pictures. Since I’ve only been home since Sunday I haven’t gotten the chance to try everything, but what I’ve tried so far is yummy.

Lindsay sent me a huge package of goodies, including:

  • Granola which I will be having for breakfast in the AM.
  • Trader Joe’s Sweet & Spicy Pecans – OMG are these things amazing. Since I have still never been to Trader Joe’s and the closet one is about 2 hours away I am on the hunt for a homemade recipe. I may have already finished the bag.
  • Quinoa tortillas, haven’t tried yet, but I’ve never met a tortilla I didn’t like.
  • Delicious homemade cookies, ginger oatmeal with cranberries and chocolate chips and they are pretty healthy. They look like they are similar to these on her website, but with chocolate chips instead of Reese’s.
  • Two different Larabar flavors, chocolate and peanut butter. Yes, please!
  • Peanut butter packets – these are so convenient when I’m on the run in the morning. I love peanut butter on my bagels so I toast up a bagel grab a packet and go.
  • A Cooking Light issue
  • Protein powder packets, my hubby will use these in post workout shakes.
  • And finally an Amy’s Organic Soup. I usually am not a huge canned soup fan, but I had this for lunch on Monday and really liked it. Great for days that we are out of food and I need lunch.

Thank you so much Lindsay, everything I’ve had has been delicious! To see what I sent to my foodie penpal Terra, hop on over to her blog et ceTerra.

-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. June Foodie Penpal Reveal

Another month of foodie pen pals has come and gone. This month I received a box from Katy over at Couch to 5Katy. It had so many goodies inside it was so fun to dig in. I’m still making my way through all the snacks, but I will have to say those that I have tried are delicious. Katy got me a bunch of treats from Trader Joe’s which I was really excited about because we don’t have one here.

I came so close to buying a bag of chia seeds right before I received my box, glad I held off because now I have a big bag of them. I baked up some granola recently and added a few tbsps of chia seeds. I feel healthier already Smile.  The snapea’s were yummy too! Very salty reminded me of veggie chips.

The boysenberry fruit bar was the first thing I ate. Before I even looked through the whole package I was snacking on it. I tried a few of the almonds before letting the husband bring them to work and they reminded me of the Snyder’s honey mustard pretzels I used to love. I have never seen this flavor in my store before I will have to be on the look out. The granola bars made great breakfasts for me with a glass of milk.

I’ll have to admit I’m a little sketched out by the seaweed. Haha I like sushi though so I will probably like it. The only thing I haven’t tried yet. And now the best part, the corn salsa. So yummy I will be on the lookout for this if I ever make it to a TJ’s.

May Foodie Penpal Reveal

This was my first month participating in the Foodie Penpal program started by Lindsey at the Lean Green Bean. It was so much fun and I’m so glad I came across it last month. I highly recommend you sign up. I have included some information at the bottom along with instructions on how to sign up.

This month I got a box from Casey at CSW Fit Yoga she seemed like she was really into health food so I was excited to see what my box would bring. It just arrived today and I tore it open as soon as I got it inside. I have never tried anything in it, but I am so excited to.

Just look at all this great food!
