Getting Started

Are you new to Supper for a Steal? I have linked to some past blog posts below, but on this page you will find my most up to date formatting.

This blog is loosely based on the weekly Publix ad, but I believe as long as you are menu planning and making the most of ingredient item you buy you will save money. Follow along on my Facebook page to stay up to date on all the greatest deals

I don’t solely shop at Publix. This year as we strive to go organic I have begun adding a few more stores into my monthly rotation. I typically do a Costco run once or twice a month. I have found that there organic meats are a little on the expensive side. I can usually find them on sale at other places, but if we are in need it’s a good option. I also check the Fresh Market weekly circulars for deals. There are many great non traditional grocery options popping up now, such as Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, local butchers markets, produce stands, etc. While some times that route can be expensive if you stock up on sales you can do pretty well.

Publix begins a new ad each week on either Wednesday or Thursday (depending on what area you live in). Here in Florida my new ad begins on Thursday. Check with you store to see which day yours starts.
