Mint Sweet Tea

  • 9 cups water
  • 1 bunch of mint
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 5 tea bags


  • In a small saucepan heat 1 cup of water, sugar, and mint. Bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and set aside.
  • Heat 4 cups of water in a large saucepan with the 5 tea bags. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let tea steep for 30 minutes.
  • Remove mint from the simple syrup and tea bags from tea and discard. Pour syrup and tea into a large pitcher. Add 4 cups of cold water. Stir to combine and refridgerate until cooled.
